Materials

Menzing produces lots parts which incorporate welded / coats of Stellite. A stellite alloy is a cobalt / chrome alloy which helps to protect against wear and tear. It may also contain tungsten or molybdenum and a small but important amount of carbon.

Menzing is specialized in the supply of small series of components and assemblies in high nickel alloys, stainless steel, Duplex, Inconel®, Hastelloy®. These materials play a critical role in many systems.

A brief introduction to our exotic materials:

Inconel

This name spans a large range of nickel alloys and usually refers to an alloy containing nickel and chrome. This alloy is resistant to corrosion and high temperatures. A thick, protective, stable layer of oxide forms on the surface when Inconel is heated. Inconel retains its strength when exposed to high temperatures. It is primarily used in situations where aluminum or steel will not suffice. Used in environments which are subject to lots of acids and high temperatures. Wear and tear resistant and tough (high plastic deformation limit).

Monel

A nickel alloy which includes up to 67% nickel, copper, iron and other elements. Monel is resistant to corrosion and acid. It can be used with high temperatures. It is often used in aggressive environments; some alloys are even resistant to pure oxygen. It is extremely hard and resistant to wear and tear. This material is often used in extremely corrosive environments.

Hasteloy

Extremely corrosive resistant material which can withstand extremely high temperatures. This material is a nickel-chrome molybdene alloy and is used in hot and polluted environments. It is resistant to lots of aggressive agents.

Duplex

1.4462 is the standard quality within the group of duplex stainless steel. Aside from the characteristic strength of Duplex materials, this quality offers superior resistance to local types of corrosion, like pitting, when compared to the 1.4404 and the two other types of Duplex mentioned.

SuperDuplex

Super Duplex UNS S32760 / 1.4501 / F55.
This material combines a high mechanical strength and great flexibility with excellent resistance to corrosion in a maritime environment and a wide range of oil and gas environments.

Steel 17-4 PH/UNS S 17400

A marsentite stainless steel which is an excellent combination of strength, good resistance to corrosion, great mechanical characteristics to 600 °F (316 °C), and great toughness as a base material and welding agent, and in the short term, low temperature treatments which minimize deforming and scaling.

Titanium

Material which can withstand a high temperature and a high tensile. This material is won during its processing due to the low elasticity and poor thermal conduction. A good yield of material and cutting speed combined with the right tools and coolants is crucial!

Stellite

Menzing produces lots parts which incorporate welded / coats of Stellite. A stellite alloy is a cobalt / chrome alloy which helps to protect against wear and tear. It may also contain tungsten or molybdenum and a small but important amount of carbon.
